If your students need to learn from home unexpectedly over the next weeks, make sure they’re ready by having them identify a computer or mobile device at home which they can use to access Achieve3000 Literacy.
For students who have laptops or desktop computers at home, encourage them to log in from home the same way they log in at school. Set assignments for your students, just as you would in the classroom.
During this period, if you would like activities completed outside of normal school hours to be counted towards monthly Lexile adjustment, visit your Admin Settings page (Edit Class Information/Edit Users) to adjust Supervised Student Work Time hours for your class. Don’t forget to change the settings back to regular hours once students return to school!
You may want to email each student copies of the log-in cards you gave them at the start of the school year, in case they need log-in and other important information.
Communicate to students that you expect them to complete two lessons per week on Achieve3000 Literacy at a minimum in order to experience their best growth. Teachers will be able to monitor that activity, and can assign lessons, grade student work, email students, and continue leading their students to accelerated literacy growth!
Achieve3000 Literacy has mobile apps for iPad, Android, and Chrome. And with the Chrome app (which is accessible through any Chrome browser), students can access their account even without Internet access!
For detailed information about the apps as well as links to download them, visit this page.
Students get FREE access to Achieve3000’s Smarty Ants early reading app outside of school! Students can use a computer browser or an Apple/Android/Amazon tablet to continue learning to read while at home. Want to know if your system or device will work?
